Its funny that I'm doing the same thing. I live in Jacksonville, FL now. I don't know if you remember, but my dad was a huge chess enthusiast and player. Nonetheless, I started U.S. Chess Initiative in an effort to teach kids critical life skills, good sportsmanship, and the rewards of hardwork through the game of chess. But most importantly, chess is the fastest growing scholastic activity and there are tons of scholarship opportunities for kids that do well. I read in the Go Pro article that you are looking to enlist the support of corporations and community organizations. Maybe in the future we can work together to help educate our youth.
